The longest way home is a vibrant relationship drama about finding a home. Hillevi, a successful lawyer, returns to her childhood village of Svängsta in Blekinge for the summer, unaware of the conflicts that she is about to get involved in. She longs for children but her husband, Philippe, is adamantly against it. So when she meets her childhood sweetheart Fredrik, she is reminded of how different things might have been if she hadn't moved to Stockholm.
